- Reading test: For your reading test, you will need to read aloud one out of three sentences correctly to demonstrate that you can read English. The USCIS provides a reading test vocabulary list to help people study for the reading portion. The content will also focus on U.S. history and civics.
- Writing test: You will need to write one of three sentences provided correctly to prove that you can write in English.
- Civics test: You will also need to take a civics test, and you will be asked 10 out of 100 possible questions. You need to answer 6 of the 10 questions correctly to pass the civics test.
